Frequently asked questions
Is Flows a warehouse management system (WMS) or an ERP?
Flows is an ERP, and its inventory module covers what most SMEs need from a WMS: multiple warehouses, goods in and out, transfers, returns, adjustments, alerts, and stock cards. Because it's one system, every stock movement is also linked to its contract and the money side.
How does multi-warehouse stock work?
Set up your warehouses in settings, and every stock movement records which warehouse it belongs to. You can see each product's total and how it's spread across warehouses, and see the transfer records between warehouses.
How do we record damaged or lost goods?
Record it as a stock adjustment with the reason, such as damage, loss, or a count correction. The quantity updates, and the adjustment appears on the item's stock card.
Can customers return goods?
A sales return brings goods back into the warehouse, linked to the original contract. Returns to suppliers work the other way, and both record the reason.
How do low-stock alerts work?
Set a minimum quantity for each product, and when stock falls below it, Flows flags the product. Your purchasing team can then reorder in time.
How is product cost calculated?
Flows supports two costing methods: first-in, first-out (FIFO) and moving average. You choose the method when you set up each product.
Can we import our current stock into Flows?
You can import products and opening stock for each warehouse with our Excel templates, which check the data for errors. Most teams do this during onboarding, before switching over.
