Cheques — tracked from hand to clearing to write-off
Thai B2B still runs on cheques, and a cheque is a promise, not a payment — until it clears. Flows records every cheque you receive or issue, binds it to the contract periods it covers, and settles those periods only when the money is real.

01
Both directions, one register
Cheques received from customers and cheques issued to suppliers live in the same register, each with its bank, number, amount, and dates. The overview answers the daily questions: what's in hand, what's due for deposit, what have we issued that hasn't cleared.
- Received & issued in one place

Bound to the periods it pays
One cheque often covers several installments. Bind it to one or many periods of a contract, and everyone can see which parts of the plan it's meant to settle — before it even reaches the bank.
- One or many periods per cheque
- Across a contract's plan
- Visible on the contract
- No guessing what a cheque was for

Settled on clearing — not on promises
The write-off happens when the cheque clears, so your receivables never look healthier than your bank account. Until then the periods stay open with their reminders — and if a cheque fails, nothing was falsely settled. Customers can pay penalty interest by cheque too.
- Write-off on clearing
- Open periods keep reminding
- Failed cheques settle nothing
- Penalty payable by cheque

Frequently asked questions
How does cheque management work in Flows ERP?
Register each cheque — received or issued — with its bank, number, amount, and dates, and bind it to the contract periods it covers. When it clears, the write-off settles those periods automatically; until then they stay open.
What is cheque clearing (เคลียริ่งเช็ค)?
The interbank process that turns a deposited cheque into usable money in your account, typically taking a banking day or more. Flows treats clearing as the moment of truth: settlement happens then, not at hand-over.
Can one cheque pay several installments?
Yes — bind it to as many periods of the contract as it covers. When it clears, all bound periods settle in one step.
What happens if a cheque bounces?
Nothing was settled, so nothing needs unwinding: the bound periods are still open, still overdue if past due, and still reminding. From there your normal escalation applies — collections timeline, penalty interest, demand letters.
Can suppliers' cheques be managed too?
Yes — cheques you issue to suppliers bind to purchase-contract periods the same way, so AP settlement follows clearing just like AR.
Can a customer pay penalty interest by cheque?
Yes. A cheque can bind to a penalty balance as well as installments; on clearing, the penalty offsets automatically in the penalty module.
